The HONEYWELL part EX-AR30 is a MICRO SWITCH„¢ Hazardous Location Switch designed for use in potentially explosive environments. It features an epoxy-coated aluminum housing for maximum durability and protection. This switch has a side rotary design with a momentary action and a bronze roller lever. It is intended for counter-clockwise rotation when viewing the nameplate side. This switch is a single pole double throw (SPDT) with a current rating of 15A. It can be used with 125, 250, or 480 Vac power supplies. It has a NEMA 1 seal rating, making it suitable for use in indoor environments. The operating temperature range for this switch is -40 °C to 70 °C (-40 °F to 158 °F), ensuring reliable operation in extreme conditions. It has a 1/2 - 14 NPT conduit termination for easy wiring installation. In terms of hazardous location ratings, this switch is certified for use in NEMA 7 (Class I, Div. 1 & 2, Groups C & D) and NEMA 9 (Class II, Div. 1 & 2, Groups E, F, & G) environments. It is also rated as Ex d IIB + H2 T6 Category II 2 G, providing high levels of protection against potential explosions. The HONEYWELL EX-AR30 switch is approved by various agencies, including ATEX (CE), CSA, UL, IEC Ex, and INMETRO, ensuring its compliance with international safety standards. This switch comes with an external and internal ground screw for easy grounding. It also includes a mounting bracket and mounting hardware, although these are furnished unassembled.
