DESCRIPTION

The R-78B3.3-1.5 is a high-efficiency switching regulator designed as a pin-compatible replacement for traditional 78xx linear regulators. It accepts a wide input voltage range from 4.75V to 18V DC and delivers a regulated 3.3V output with a maximum current of 1.5A. This converter achieves an efficiency of up to 91%, eliminating the need for a heatsink and saving space and cost. Key features include low output ripple and noise, continuous short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown. Due to its high efficiency and compact SIP3 package, it is ideally suited for point-of-load applications, battery-powered systems, and improving the efficiency of existing designs.
