DESCRIPTION

The 6383-2 is a red, user-installable banana plug intended for creating custom test leads. It accommodates stranded wire from 18 to 22 AWG with an insulation diameter between 0.060” and 0.150”, attaching via soldering or a standard crimp tool. The plug is rated for a maximum operating voltage of 300V in handheld applications and a current of up to 15A with 18 AWG wire. Constructed with a nickel-plated brass and beryllium copper plug and Santoprene insulation, it operates in temperatures from -29°C to 135°C. When properly assembled, it complies with IEC1010 CAT II safety standards, providing secure connections to 4mm shrouded banana jacks found on most digital multimeters.
