DESCRIPTION

The 6383-0 is a user-installable, black shrouded banana plug designed for creating secure connections with 4mm shrouded banana jacks. It can be attached to 18 to 22 AWG stranded wire by either crimping or soldering, accommodating insulation diameters from 0.060” to 0.150”. The plug is rated for a maximum current of 15A with 18 AWG wire and an operating voltage of 300V in handheld applications. Constructed with a nickel-plated brass and beryllium copper plug and Santoprene insulation, it operates reliably in temperatures from -29°C to 135°C. When properly assembled, it complies with IEC1010 CAT II 300V standards, making it ideal for custom test leads used with digital multimeters and other test equipment.
