DESCRIPTION

2118715-2 is a two-piece board level shielding (BLS) cover component manufactured by TE Connectivity designed to provide electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression and isolation of board-level components. The cover features dimensions of 16.90 mm × 16.90 mm × 2.00 mm with a material thickness of 0.15 mm, constructed from stainless steel, galvanized steel, pre-plated cold rolled steel (CRS), or aluminum with a minimum inner bending radius of 0.10 mm and co-planarity of 0.08 mm (size dependent). The component includes a pitch of dimples at 3.0 mm minimum spacing to facilitate secure attachment and alignment with the corresponding frame component. This shielding solution is widely used in mobile phones, tablets, notebooks, game consoles, routers, wireless speakers, wearables, IoT devices, and other applications requiring board-level EMI suppression without impacting system speed or performance.
