The GFTR1 is a 15A-125VAC, 60Hz tamper-resistant GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) receptacle designed to protect against ground faults and electrical shock hazards in residential installations. This self-test GFCI receptacle features periodic internal testing to confirm the GFCI electronics are functional, with a green status indicator light showing normal operation and red indicating a potential problem. The receptacle includes TEST and RESET buttons, supports both LINE and LOAD terminal connections for feed-through protection to downstream receptacles, and incorporates a self-ground clip and mounting bracket for standard electrical box installation. It is rated for 20A feed-through capacity and includes a lockout feature that prevents RESET if power is absent, LINE/LOAD connections are reversed, or internal testing fails. The GFTR1 is ideal for protecting circuits in kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas where ground fault hazards exist, providing enhanced safety for users and compliance with national and local electrical codes.
