D38999/26WD15PN is a MIL-DTL-38999 Series III subminiature straight plug connector designed for rugged, harsh environment applications in aerospace, defense, and marine industries. The connector features a threaded 360° turn coupling mechanism with scoop-proof design and environmentally sealed construction, supporting up to 187 maximum signal contacts with AS39029 contact type. It offers multiple shell material options including stainless steel, aluminum, and composite, with various plating finishes such as electroless nickel, nickel PTFE, black zinc-nickel, and olive drab cadmium for enhanced corrosion resistance. The connector operates across a wide temperature range of -65°C to +200°C (depending on shell finish), provides 500 mating cycles durability with higher durability versions available, and supports multiple contact styles including crimp, solder cup/eyelet, and PCB tail configurations. With spring fingers for EMI control and available hermetic and filter versions, this connector is ideal for mission-critical applications requiring reliable electrical connections in demanding environments.
