2343986-1 is a 1x5 QSFP-DD surface mount cage connector designed for high-speed 400G pluggable I/O solutions in data center environments. This connector features an eight-lane electrical interface capable of supporting 28 Gbps NRZ or 56 Gbps PAM-4 per lane to achieve 200 or 400 Gbps aggregate bandwidth per port. The cage is configured with PCI-type heatsink specifications, offering a heatsink height of 4.2 mm and total height of 13.7 mm with module inserted, utilizing either extruded aluminum or thermally enhanced ZIP fin heatsink materials. The design incorporates TE's proprietary heat sink technology optimized for thermal performance in 15–18 W applications, extensive structural analysis, wear and durability testing, and a proprietary finish on the riding heatsink mating interface for superior heat transfer. This connector is ideal for servers, switches, routers, and high-performance computing systems requiring dense, reliable 400G interconnects with backward compatibility to existing QSFP modules.
