3001818 is an 18" × 18" static shielding bag from 3M's SCC 1000 series designed to provide a static-safe environment for sensitive electronic components. The bag features a four-layer construction with polyester dielectric and aluminum metal layer that provides Faraday effect shielding against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electromagnetic fields, while specially processed polyethylene minimizes tribocharging. Key electrical properties include interior surface resistivity less than 10¹² ohms/square, metal layer resistance below 100 ohms, static shielding effectiveness below 30 volts, and static decay time under 2 seconds. Physical specifications include 4700 PSI tensile strength, seam strength greater than 10 lbs, 3 mils thickness (±15% tolerance), and 40% light transmission.
