This safe expansion module is designed for relay outputs and belongs to the Modicon MCM, a range of Modular safety controllers. It has 8 forcibly guided contact safety relay outputs (8 NO + 4 NC) and 4 inputs for Start/Restart interlock and external device monitoring. It figures LEDs on its front face to display the status, removable spring clamp terminals for electrical connection and is IP20-rated. It does not require the backplane expansion connectors as it is directly wired to the selected OSSD. It has a rated supply voltage of 24V DC, a maximum power dissipation of 3W, and a Switching voltage of 10V DC. It has an electrical isolation between the contacts and the control. It weighs 0.375kg.
