BESCHRIJVING

8-188275-4 is a female-on-board surface mount device (SMD) connector from the TE Connectivity Micro-MaTch connector family, designed for wire-to-board and board-to-board interconnections with 1.27 mm contact spacing. The connector features tin-plated contacts with a gas-tight connection design that incorporates an additional positioning spring in the female part to prevent fretting corrosion—the traditional failure mode in tin-plated connections. This spring system absorbs relative movements caused by vibrations and thermal expansion between male and female contacts, ensuring reliable long-term performance. The connector is available in multiple position sizes (4 to 24 positions) and is supplied on vacuum pick-and-place tape for automated assembly. Applications include production and material handling equipment, control units, robots, motors, automotive systems (car radios, navigation systems, dashboard systems), base stations, set-top boxes, and audio equipment.
