3M Static Shielding Bag 1911216 is a ZipTop-style static shielding bag designed to provide a static-safe environment for sensitive electronic devices. The bag is manufactured from a polyester, metal, and polyethylene laminate construction with dimensions of 12 inches width by 16 inches length, featuring a transparent design with 40% transparency and an aluminum shield layer for ESD protection. Key electrical characteristics include ESD shielding of less than 10 nJ, surface resistance of less than 1×10¹¹ ohms on both interior and exterior surfaces, and static decay time of less than 2 seconds. Physical properties include a tensile strength of 35 MPa, puncture resistance of 53 N, seal strength of 40 N, and a thickness of 0.071 mm (±15%). The bag is heat-sealable at 190°C for 0.5 to 3.5 seconds and meets ANSI/ESD S541 and ANSI/ESD S20.20 compliance standards, making it ideal for protecting sensitive electronic components during storage and transport.
