The MCP4728A0T-E/UN is a quad, 12-bit voltage output Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) featuring on-board nonvolatile memory (EEPROM). It operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply and communicates via an I2C serial interface that supports standard, fast, and high-speed modes up to 3.4 Mbps. Each of the four channels can be configured to use either an internal 2.048V precision voltage reference or an external reference (VDD). The on-board EEPROM stores DAC input codes, configuration settings, and the I2C address, allowing the device to retain settings during power-off and provide immediate output upon power-up. This functionality makes it ideal for applications like set point or offset adjustment, sensor calibration, and portable instrumentation.
