The 142-0694-001 is a straight SMA plug assembly designed for RG 402 semi-rigid cable applications. The connector features a brass body with gold plating (0.00001 inch minimum) over nickel plating (0.00005 inch minimum) over copper plating (0.00005 inch minimum), a matching brass nut with identical plating specifications, and a gold-plated brass contact (0.00003 inch minimum gold over 0.00005 inch minimum nickel over 0.00005 inch minimum copper). The insulator is constructed from TEFLON, and the retention spring is made from unplated beryllium copper. This connector is rated for mating torque of 3–5 inch-pounds, coupling proof torque of 8 inch-pounds minimum, and cable retention of 60 pounds minimum axial force with 55 inch-ounce minimum torque. It operates reliably across a temperature range of -65°C to +165°C and meets MIL-C-39012 environmental standards including thermal shock, corrosion, shock, vibration, and moisture resistance testing.
