The 1550J is a diecast aluminum electronic instrument enclosure designed for robust protection of electronic components and circuit boards. It features a rugged diecast aluminum construction that is tough yet easy to machine, with lap joint construction providing protection against dust and splashing water while improving EMI/RFI shielding. The enclosure is available in natural vibra finish or textured black powder coat, with dimensions of 275 mm length × 175 mm width × 67 mm height (including 4 mm lid). It meets IP54 rating without a gasket, upgradeable to IP66 with EVA foam gaskets (rated to 65°C) or IP67 with silicone gaskets (rated -40°C to +150°C), and features M3.5 × 0.6 × 12 mm stainless steel machine screws for secure lid fastening. The smooth internal walls and low side wall draft angle facilitate easy installation of connectors and PC boards without interference, making it ideal for electronic instrumentation, control systems, and field-deployable equipment requiring environmental protection.
