The 61B22-01-02-060 is a 16-position optical rotary encoder with an integrated pushbutton switch designed for cursor positioning and menu selection on displays. It features 2-bit quadrature coded output with standard TTL/CMOS logic levels, operating at 5 ±0.25 Vdc with a maximum supply current of 30 mA. The encoder provides an operating torque of 2.0 ±0.75 in-oz, a rotational life exceeding 1,000,000 cycles, and a shaft push-out force of 50 lbs minimum, with an angle of throw of 22.25° per position. The pushbutton switch is rated for 5 Vdc at 10 mA with contact bounce less than 4 milliseconds at make and 10 milliseconds at break, and an actuation life of 3,000,000 operations. This encoder is ideal for applications requiring incremental input such as radio frequency tuning, drill depth adjustment, RPM control, and limit setting, offering a more user-friendly alternative to keyboards with tactile feedback and minimal backlash through optical coupling for long operational life.
