The 5XP-A is a compact full-purpose digital multimeter designed for residential, commercial, and general troubleshooting applications. It features a 3.5-digit LCD display with a maximum reading of 1999, 27 ranges across 10 functions, and unique capabilities including VolTect™ non-contact voltage (NVC) detection (70 V to 600 V AC), battery load testing for 1.5 V and 9 V batteries, and MinMax recording to capture minimum and maximum values. The meter offers DC voltage ranges from 200 mV to 1000 V with ±1.0% accuracy, AC voltage ranges from 200 mV to 750 V with ±1.5% accuracy, current measurement up to 200 mA, resistance measurement up to 20 MO, continuity testing with 100 ms response time, and diode testing. Operating from a single 9 V battery with approximately 200 hours typical life, the 5XP-A operates in environments from 0 °C to 50 °C at less than 70% relative humidity and is rated for CAT III 600 V and CAT IV 1000 V safety categories.
