The 6GM5S-78 is a sealed bat-style toggle switch from Carling Technologies' G-Series, designed for general-purpose industrial and commercial applications. It features a 10A 250VAC / 15A 125VAC / 3/4 HP 125-250VAC electrical rating with an On-Off-On momentary circuit configuration, making it suitable for applications requiring momentary switching action. The switch incorporates a sealed nylon bat actuator with black enamel plated bushing (78 designation), a toggle length of 0.687 inches, and a bushing length of 0.465 inches, with a 15/32-32UNS-2A thread for panel mounting. It maintains 50,000 electrical cycles under maintained operation and 100,000 mechanical cycles, with dielectric strength rated at 1000V (UL/CSA) and 4000V (VDE) between live and dead metal parts. The switch operates reliably across a temperature range of 0°C to 85°C and is approved by UL, CSA, and VDE standards, making it ideal for marine, food service, generator control, industrial control, and office automation applications.
