The 1590WF is a water-tight diecast aluminum enclosure from Hammond Manufacturing's 1590 Series, engineered for general-purpose wall-mounting applications requiring robust environmental protection. This enclosure features a rugged diecast aluminum alloy construction with lap joint design where the lid and box meet, providing enhanced protection against dust and splashing water along with improved EMI/RFI shielding. The 1590WF is designed to meet IP65 standards and includes a pre-supplied silicone gasket with adhesive backing and a temperature rating of -40°C to 150°C, allowing for reliable sealing after machining or painting. The enclosure measures 188 mm in length, 188 mm in width, and 67 mm in height, with a low side wall draft angle of 2° or less for easy PC board mounting. Factory-tapped assembly screw holes accept included machine screws, and the natural finish is vibra-finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. This enclosure is ideal for electronic instruments, control systems, and equipment requiring water-tight protection in industrial and outdoor environments.
