The 1555VBGY is a general-purpose ABS plastic enclosure from Hammond Manufacturing featuring a modern styled lid with watertight, gasketed construction. This enclosure measures 9.40 inches in length, 6.30 inches in width, and 4.70 inches in total height, with a replaceable high-temperature silicone gasket providing protection against oil, dust, and water ingress. The enclosure meets NEMA Type 4X, 6, and 6P ratings (exceeding IP68 standards) and includes molded internal features such as DIN rail mounting tabs, threaded M3 brass inserts, and vertical PC card guides for 1.5 mm thick circuit boards. The lid is secured with 6 M4 stainless steel machine screws threaded into integral stainless steel bushings, enabling repetitive assembly and disassembly without corrosion. The light gray (RAL 7035) ABS material carries a UL94-HB flammability rating suitable for indoor use, making it ideal for mounting printed circuit boards, DIN rail components, and industrial control applications requiring robust environmental protection.
