BESCHRIJVING

SMA6J12CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in compact DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package format. The device features a working peak reverse voltage (VRWM) of 12 V, a maximum reverse peak voltage (VRRM) of 13.3–14.7 V, and a power dissipation rating of 600 W, enabling robust protection of power buses and I/O interfaces. With typical fast response times of less than 1.0 picosecond from 0 V to breakdown voltage and a reverse surge voltage rating of 19.9 V, this device provides rapid transient suppression. The bidirectional configuration (indicated by the ".CA" suffix) eliminates the need for polarity consideration during installation. Common applications include telecom, computer, industrial, and consumer electronics where overvoltage transient protection is critical, and the flat SMA package design minimizes component roll-away during automated assembly.
