The 9538-CHR-100 is an 8-conductor shielded computer cable designed for EIA RS-232 serial communication applications. It features 24 AWG stranded tinned copper conductors (7x32 stranding) with semi-rigid PVC insulation and an overall Beldfoll® aluminum foil-polyester tape shield providing 100% coverage, along with a 24 AWG tinned copper drain wire. The cable has a nominal outer diameter of 0.224 inches, operates reliably across a temperature range of -30°C to +80°C, and is rated for 300 V RMS maximum operating voltage with a maximum recommended current of 1.75 Amps per conductor at 25°C. This cable is ideal for connecting serial devices in industrial control systems, data acquisition equipment, and computer peripherals where reliable signal transmission and noise immunity are essential.
