2-582118-9 is a printed circuit board receptacle designed to provide a reliable and cost-effective means of attaching components with pin contacts or wire terminations to a printed circuit board. The receptacle features a silver contact finish and tin-plated brass material construction, with dimensions of 0.130 inches (3.30 mm) width, 0.230 inches (5.84 mm) length, and 0.138 inches (3.51 mm) height. It accepts .250 x .016 inch (6.35 x 0.41 mm) terminal configurations or supports prepless termination of 24-22 AWG solid wire using displacement crimp technique. Components can be easily inserted and removed from the printed circuit board without soldering, allowing for simple replacement or repair, and the receptacle is designed for high-speed automatic insertion equipment application followed by wave soldering for lowest applied cost.
