The 121566-0514 is a circular socket connector designed for military and battery applications in the KPT series. It features a straight plug shell style with shell size 14, accommodating 8 contacts of size 20 and 4 contacts of size 16, all with solder cup terminations. The connector is constructed from aluminum alloy shell with zinc cobalt black plating, polychloroprene insulator and grommet material, and copper alloy contacts with selective gold plating (size 12 & 16 fully gold plated; size 20 with tin body and gold-plated contact area). Operating over a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C, the connector delivers contact ratings of 7.5 A for AWG20 and 13.0 A for AWG16, with an insulation resistance of =5000 MO and test voltage of 1500 Vrms. The connector meets IP67 protection (0.2 bar pressure over 48 hours), provides 200-hour salt spray resistance, and supports 500 minimum mating cycles with vibration tolerance of 200 m/s² at 10 to 2000 Hz, making it suitable for harsh military, aerospace, and battery system environments requiring reliable high-performance interconnection.
