The 10-830890-000 is a protective accessory cap designed for the Amphenol 97 Series and intermateable SAE AS50151 cylindrical connectors. Fabricated from high-grade aluminum alloy, it provides robust protection for unmated connectors against dirt, dust, and moisture. A soft rubber disc is integrated to seat on the connector shell, forming a water-tight joint. This cap features a standard olive drab chromate over cadmium plate finish, with other finishes like black zinc alloy and electroless nickel also available. Using this cap helps maintain the integrity and reliability of connectors in industrial and field applications by keeping the interface clean and undamaged.
