DESCRIPTION

The 84696-1 is a loose piece tab contact designed for use within the TE Connectivity D-5000 series high-current connector system. This contact accommodates a wire size range of 16 to 14 AWG with an insulation outer diameter of 3.0mm to 3.80mm. It is constructed from a high-conductivity copper alloy and features a 0.2 Î¼m gold plating over a nickel under-plate for enhanced reliability and conductivity. As part of the D-5000 series, this contact supports systems with a rated voltage of 630V AC/DC and an operating temperature range of -55Â°C to +105Â°C. Its robust design makes it ideal for demanding power line applications in industrial equipment where a reliable connection is critical.
