DESCRIPTION
The 1648470-1 is a modular socket housing from the ELCON Domino connector series, designed to accommodate 14 size #16 power contacts. This housing is part of a blind-mating, hot-pluggable system and is supplied without contacts, allowing for customization with either crimp or PCB style terminations. When fully loaded, the module has a nominal insertion force of 43.1 lbs and an extraction force of 33.7 lbs. The contacts it accepts are rated for 15A (UL) and 10A (CSA) at 125V, and the housing is constructed from UL 94V-0 rated, glass-filled polyester. As a component of the modular Domino system, it is ideal for creating custom connector configurations in applications such as hot-pluggable power supplies, telecommunications equipment, and computer hardware.
