DESCRIPTION

The GX12BA is a 225+ ampere 12-800 VDC EPIC® hermetically sealed DC contactor designed for demanding applications requiring high reliability and environmental protection. It features a rugged EP10 seal rated to 175°C, internal delta coil suppression for all DC coils, and hermetic sealing that exceeds IP67 and IP69K standards while meeting UL1604, SAE J1171, and ISO8846 certifications for hazardous location use. The GX12BA configuration includes a 12 VDC coil with internal coil suppression and 38 cm flying leads, plus a SPST normally open auxiliary contact rated at 2A, 24VDC. Key electrical characteristics include a maximum contact resistance of 0.4 milliohms, 1,000,000 mechanical life cycles, and dielectric strength of 2,200 VRMS at sea level. Operating temperature range spans -55°C to +85°C, with a typical weight of 0.5 kg, making it ideal for battery-powered systems, renewable energy applications, and aerospace programs where low coil power consumption and corrosion resistance are essential.
