DESCRIPTION

The HBL2270 is a nylon convenience adapter designed to connect NEMA 5-15P male blade plugs to NEMA 5-20R female receptacles. It features a male blade end rated NEMA 5-15P at 15A 125V and a female slot end rated NEMA 5-20R at 20A 125V. The adapter enables compatibility between different NEMA configurations for temporary or permanent wiring applications. When using adapters with different ratings on the blade and slot ends, overcurrent protection is determined by the blade end, and usage should be limited to the lowest rated end to prevent overheating. This adapter is not GFCI protected and is commonly used in residential and light commercial installations where outlet configuration conversion is needed.
