The 843477-2 is an extraction and lance reset tool manufactured by TE Connectivity for removing MTE, Mod IV, Tandem Spring, and Mini Tandem Spring contacts from housings while resetting overly depressed contact locking lances. This tool features a lance reset angle of 21° and is specifically designed for contacts with old-style locking lance designs, distinguishing it from the 843996-2 variant which has a 17° reset angle for new-style locking lances. The tool includes a contact lance release tip that depresses the locking lance to allow contact extraction, a locking lance reset portion to reposition depressed lances to proper height, and a tool stop to prevent over-insertion.
