The 5556926-1 is a shielded RJ45 modular jack designed for PCB mounting with single-port, 1 x 1 configuration and 8 contact positions. It features a low-profile design with side-entry right-angle PCB mount, through-hole solder termination, and copper alloy shielding with tin plating. The jack includes panel stops, standard latch style, and dual PCB ground tabs for enhanced grounding, with contact mating area plated in gold (50 µm) over nickel (50 µm) and phosphor bronze contact material. Operating with a PCB thickness of 1.57 mm and a height of 12.70 mm, this Cat 3 performance-rated jack is RoHS and ELV compliant, wave solder capable to 265°C, and housed in UL 94-HB polyester (PBT) material. It is commonly used in networking equipment, telecommunications panels, and industrial control systems requiring reliable Ethernet connectivity with robust shielding and grounding.
