1-106506-2 is a 15-position right-angle mounted subminiature D socket connector from the AMPLIMITE series, designed for PCB board mounting applications. It features a front metal-shell with tin plating, 4-40 threaded inserts for secure mating hardware, and boardlocks for stable PCB mounting with solder termination. The connector is constructed with a black glass-filled polyester housing rated UL 94V-0 for flame retardancy, and phosphor bronze socket contacts with 0.76µm gold plating in the contact area. With a current rating of 6A maximum, insulation resistance of 5000 MO minimum, and dielectric strength of 1000V AC minimum, this connector is suitable for industrial, computing, and communication equipment requiring reliable D-sub interconnections.
