The 2069838-5 is an LGA 1156 socket kit designed for Intel Core i7 processors, featuring a surface mount socket with solder ball contacts on a 0.914 mm × 0.914 mm grid. This kit includes an integrated lever mechanism (ILM) with stainless steel load plate and lever, one shoulder screw, two ILM screws, and a nickel-plated steel backplate assembly with polycarbonate insulator. The socket housing is constructed from high-temperature thermoplastic (UL94V-0) with copper alloy contacts featuring gold plating on nickel underplating, providing low bulk contact resistance of 22 milliohms maximum average and insulation resistance of 800 milliohms minimum at 500 VDC. The ILM generates Z-axis compression load with a nominal deflection of 0.45 mm and maximum mating/unmating operation force of 49 N, while the robust bolster plate eliminates PCB bowing during compression.
