1-480438-0 is a 16-circuit dual-row socket housing (plug) connector designed for wire-to-board power applications in the 5.0 mm Power Key Connectors (5.0 PKC) family. The connector features a compact design with a mated height of 19.4 mm and utilizes MM (metal-to-metal) positive lock contacts with pre-tin duplex finish plating. The duplex finish consists of 0.000030 inches minimum gold in the mating area and matte tin on the solder tail end over 0.000050 inches minimum nickel underplate on the entire contact. This connector is specifically designed for power circuits in home appliances, particularly gas appliances, and is recognized under UL File No. E28476 with UL94V-2 flammability rating. The housing material is UL94V-2 rated nylon in natural color, and the connector accepts double wire applications where individual insulation diameters do not exceed 0.115 inches. The design includes protective walls surrounding locking levers to prevent tangling with wires and features bubble-release design for potted applications.
