3M Static Shielding Bag 1911218 is a ZipTop-style static shielding bag with dimensions of 12 x 18 inches, manufactured from a polyester, aluminum, and polyethylene laminate construction. The bag features a static dissipative coating and aluminum shield layer designed to provide ESD shielding of less than 10 nJ and minimize electric field penetration, with surface resistance on both interior and exterior surfaces of less than 1×10¹¹ ohms. Key physical characteristics include a tensile strength of 5100 PSI (35 MPa), puncture resistance of 12 lbs (53 N), seal strength of 9 lbs (40 N), thickness of 2.8 mils (0.071 mm ±15%), and 40% transparency. The bag is heat-sealable at 375°F (190°C) for 0.5–3.5 seconds under 30–70 PSI pressure, with static decay of less than 2 seconds, and meets ANSI/ESD S541 and ANSI/ESD S20.20 compliance standards.
