The MC74LVX4245DWR2G is a dual-supply, octal translating transceiver designed to interface between a 5.0V bus and a 3.0V bus in mixed-voltage environments. It features a dedicated A port for the 5.0V bus (VCCA: 4.5V-5.5V) and a B port for the 3.0V bus (VCCB: 2.7V-3.6V), with data direction managed by a Transmit/Receive (T/R) input. The outputs can source or sink up to 24 mA on the 5V A port and 12 mA on the 3V B port, while an Output Enable (OE) input can place both ports into a high-impedance state. This device is ideal for applications requiring mixed-voltage signal translation, such as interfacing a 3.3V CPU with 5.0V peripherals in laptop computers or other embedded systems.
