The 096515-0592 is a Micro-D metal shell connector featuring 0.050" (1.27 mm) contact spacing with size 24 MICROPIN/MICROSOCKET contacts on aluminum shells that provide electromagnetic (EMI) and RFI shielding. The connector employs a silicone elastomer compression interfacial seal to provide moisture and humidity sealing between each contact. It is designed to meet demanding environmental and high-performance requirements with a dielectric withstanding voltage of 600 VAC at sea level and 150 VAC at 70,000 feet altitude, insulation resistance of 5,000 megohms minimum, and contact resistance of 8 milliohms maximum at 3 amps. The connector is rated for thermal shock from -55°C to +125°C, physical shock of 50 G's on 3 axes with 6 millisecond duration, vibration of 20 G's from 10-2,000 Hz for 12 hours, and 500 mating/unmatting cycles.
