The 86BA2-001 is a standard 4x4 keypad from Grayhill's Series 86 line, featuring unsealed, flange-mounted construction with 0.5-inch button centers and snap-dome contact technology for positive tactile feedback. The keypad offers both matrix code and single pole/common bus circuitry options, with white ABS plastic buttons featuring black legends and a clear polycarbonate snap-on cap. Operating specifications include a button travel of 0.015 inches nominal, typical operating force of 350 grams, and contact closure times of 5 milliseconds at make and 10 milliseconds at break, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C.
