DESCRIPCIÓN
SM3186 is a 2.92mm male to 2.4mm female RF adapter from Fairview Microwave designed to enable connections between incompatible connector types in RF and microwave applications. The adapter features a straight body geometry with 50 ohm impedance and operates across a frequency range from DC to 40 GHz, delivering a maximum VSWR of 1.3:1. The connector contacts are constructed from gold-plated beryllium copper with a minimum plating thickness of 1.27 µm, while the body and coupling nut are made from passivated stainless steel for durability. The adapter supports 500 mating cycles on both connectors and operates reliably over a temperature range of -55°C to +120°C. This adapter is commonly used for between-series connections and general-purpose RF testing, as well as serving as a connector saver to protect expensive equipment from wear during frequent connect/disconnect cycles.
