DESCRIPCIÓN
PTR016V0500-BK is a 16 Volt DC radial leaded PolyTron PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistor device designed for overcurrent protection in electronic circuits. The device features a holding current of 5.0 A at 23°C, a trip current of 8.5 A, and a maximum time-to-trip of 25 seconds, with low resistance characteristics (minimum 0.010 O, maximum 0.023 O). It operates reliably across a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C with a surface temperature trip state of 125°C maximum, and is constructed with tin-plated copper leads and cured epoxy resin insulation meeting UL 94V0 requirements. The device is halogen-free, lead-free, and RoHS compliant, making it suitable for medical equipment, telecommunications, white goods, and computer peripherals where fast-acting circuit protection is essential.
