DESCRIPCIÓN

SMCJ40CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. This device features a working peak reverse voltage of 40 V, a breakdown voltage of 44.4 V, and a maximum reverse voltage rating of 46 V, with a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500 watts at a 1 ms pulse width. The diode is housed in a compact SMC (DO-214AB) surface mount package with lead-free, RoHS-compliant construction, and operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C. With typical response times under 5 ns and a steady-state power dissipation of 5.0 watts at 75°C, the SMCJ40CA provides reliable protection against transient voltage events in high-speed digital and analog circuits.
