DESCRIPCIÓN

SMBJ85CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in compact surface-mount applications. This device features a working peak reverse voltage (VRWM) of 8.5 V and a breakdown voltage range of 9.44 V to 10.4 V, with a maximum reverse leakage current of 20 µA at rated voltage. The diode exhibits fast response characteristics with a voltage clamping capability of 14.6 V at 18.7 mA, and a maximum peak current rating of 41.7 A, enabling effective transient suppression. The SMBJ85CA is housed in the DO-214AA (SMB) surface-mount package and is RoHS compliant, making it ideal for protecting sensitive electronics in portable communications, computing, and video equipment against IEC 61000-4-2 ESD, IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 surge events.
