DESCRIPCIÓN

SMBJ85A is a transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. This device features a working peak reverse voltage of 85V with a breakdown voltage up to 93.4V, housed in a compact DO-214AA (SMB) surface mount package. The SMBJ85A delivers a peak pulse power dissipation of 600 watts at 1 ms pulse width and a steady-state power dissipation of 5.0 watts at 75°C junction temperature, with fast response times of less than 5.0 picoseconds for bidirectional operation. The device operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C and meets IEC 61000-4-2 ESD (Level 4), IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 Surge protection standards. SMBJ85A is ideal for protecting sensitive circuits against transient overvoltage events in industrial, consumer, and telecommunications applications.
