DESCRIPCIÓN
The 879B is a 40,000-count dual-display handheld LCR meter designed for precise measurement of inductance, capacitance, resistance, impedance (Z), dissipation factor (D), quality factor (Q), phase angle (?), and equivalent series resistance (ESR). It features selectable test frequencies of 100 Hz, 120 Hz, 1 kHz, and 10 kHz with 0.02% accuracy of actual test frequency, a test signal level of approximately 0.6 Vrms, and 0.5% basic accuracy across measurement ranges. The meter includes a backlit display, fast auto-ranging capability, series/parallel measurement modes, and a response time of approximately 680 ms per device under test. Additional features include data hold, Min/Max/Average recording, tolerance sorting (1%, 5%, 10%, 20%), relative mode, and USB connectivity via mini USB port for PC data logging and SCPI-compliant remote communication. The 879B is ideal for passive component troubleshooting, electronic assembly quality control, and component sorting applications where ESR measurement capability is essential for detecting defective capacitors with excessive in-phase AC resistance.
