MS3102R20-29P is a MIL-DTL-5015 Type standard cylindrical box mounting receptacle connector designed for reliable environmental-resistant applications. This MS-R class connector features a shell size 20 with 17 contacts of size 16, configured in insert arrangement 20-29 with service rating A. The connector incorporates a low-profile assembly design with an axial compression nut and grommet assembly positioned flush with the rear of the insert, utilizing a neoprene grommet with low coefficient of friction for easier wire bundle threading and faster assembly. The shell is fabricated from high-grade aluminum alloy with cadmium plating and olive drab chromate after-treatment for corrosion resistance, while contacts are machined from copper alloy for maximum corrosion resistance and current carrying capacity.
