DESCRIPCIÓN
The 3417-6640 is a 40-contact wiremount socket from the 3M 3000 Series, designed for insulation-displacement contact (IDC) termination with flat cables or discrete wires. It features both military (dual slot) and centerbump polarization to ensure correct mating and prevent misalignment. The contacts are a copper alloy with 30 μ” gold plating in the wiping area, accommodating 26 and 28 AWG solid or stranded wires. The connector body is made from UL 94V-0 rated glass-filled polyester, and positive locking metal “J” clips provide high cover retention. This socket is designed to mate with 3M headers, plugs, and pin strips, making it ideal for applications requiring robust and reliable quick connect/disconnect board-to-wire solutions.
