The 62C1111-02-040C is a Series 62C concentric shaft optical encoder manufactured by Grayhill, featuring combined optical and mechanical functionality with an integral pushbutton switch. This encoder provides 2-bit quadrature coded output compatible with CMOS, TTL, and HCMOS logic, with 32 detent positions (11.25° angle of throw) and operates at 5 ± 0.25 Vdc with a maximum supply current of 50 mA. The unit includes a 4.0-inch cable with 28 AWG stranded wire terminated with an Amp connector (P/N 215083-6), and features optically coupled operation rated for more than 1,000,000 cycles of rotational life. The pushbutton switch is rated for 5 Vdc at 10 mA with an actuation force of 1000 ± 300 grams and contact bounce less than 10 mS at break. This encoder is ideal for applications such as radio frequency tuning, menu selection, parameter selection in patient monitoring devices, and other control applications requiring reliable detent positioning and integrated switching functionality.
