SRN8040-8R2Y is a semi-shielded power inductor from Bourns' SRM8040 series designed for high-current DC/DC converter applications. It features an inductance of 8.2 µH at 100 kHz with a tolerance of ±13%, a maximum DC resistance of 3.7 O, and a rated RMS current of 4 A with a saturation current of 4 A. The component has a compact height of 4 mm, a self-resonant frequency of 45 MHz, and operates reliably over a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. Its semi-shielded construction, RoHS compliance, and halogen-free materials make it ideal for notebook computers, digital video cameras, HDDs, cell phones, and LCD display applications where space efficiency and thermal performance are critical.
