DESCRIPCIÓN

SMLJ170A is a surface mount transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode designed for surge and ESD protection applications. It features a peak pulse power dissipation of 3000 watts (TP = 1 ms), a standoff voltage of 170 volts, and is housed in a compact SMC (DO-214AB) package. The device offers a peak forward surge current of 300 A (8.3 ms single half sine wave), steady state power dissipation of 5.0 W at TL = 75°C, and operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C. This RoHS compliant TVS diode is ideal for protecting portable communications, computing, and video equipment from transient voltage events, with typical fast response times less than 1.0 ns for unidirectional devices.
