DESCRIPCIÓN

SMCJ8.5CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment applications. The device features a working peak reverse voltage of 8.5 V, a breakdown voltage of 9.49 V, and a maximum reverse leakage current of 500 mA, providing reliable protection against transient overvoltages. It is housed in a compact SMC (DO-214AB) surface-mount package with lead-free, RoHS-compliant construction and offers a peak pulse power dissipation of 1500 watts. The device exhibits fast response times of less than 5.0 ns from 0 V to minimum breakdown voltage, making it ideal for protecting sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients and electrostatic discharge events.
